Why this community?

Sustainable development is the organizing principle for meeting human development goals while at the same time sustaining the ability of natural systems to provide the natural resources and ecosystem services upon which the economy and society depend. The desirable end result is a state of society where living and conditions and resource use continue to meet human needs without undermining the integrity and stability of the natural systems. The transition period towards sustainability can be referred to as sustainable development.(Definition from Wikipedia).

We invite you to exchange with us about Energy, Cultures (the edible ones), Habitats, Transportation, Lifestyles, economic models, ideas, experiences, and research results: all of which will allow us to deepen the discussion and think beyond “our Society” and “the Planet” that we live on, and instill this knowledge on the generations to come.
